So I found an eyeliner lying around the table beside me. Being the curious person that I am, I tried it on my skin. "Whoa," I said "this thing is darrrrkkk" Yes, I don't see the effect of eyeliners when people put in on themselves or on other people. I don't see the 'line' it supposedly creates to 'open up the eyes' [I might have some vision deficiency of some sort, I don't know]. But this abandoned orphaned homeless one, much to my glee, seems to work well. "This is my chance to experiment!" I thought. And so I did. I line my lower lids. I line my upper lids. And got disappointed. "This don't work!" I said to myself. I wondered if it was the pencil's fault or mine--maybe I just didn't know how to use it.
I thought of other ways that my mother uses a liner. I remembered how she sometimes draws on her eyebrows to make it look fuller. Without thinking twice, I faced the mirror again and started lining my right eyebrow. I drew a couple of lines but there was no effect so I drew a couple more.
Curiosity kills the cat.
My right eyebrow is now insanely black compared to my left eyebrow. And no matter how much I wipe it off, the black liner just doesn't come off. Some of it, yes, but my eyebrow remains onyx black! Makes me wonder if this eyeliner is really an eyeliner.
What if it's a permanent marker!!

My aunts were fighting a few minutes ago. They were cursing each other. Shouting. Criticizing each other as if they were perfect. They were calling each other hayop with sooo much wrath.
If only I could tell them to
GROW FUCKING UP.

Here I go again. Cramming. Cramming and blogging about it. Cramming and blogging about it because I want to hear the sound of the keyboard. Clickity tack tack clickity tack. Click.
I have a paper due in 2 hours about a book I haven't finished reading and a movie I haven't watched entirely. So. How am I going to write my paper. Simple. Barbero paper. Yes, barbero paper. I read the start and the end of the book, and skimmed through the middle part [yes, SparkNotes does not have a summary of the book :(]. I searched the film in IMDB. Thankgoodness they have it hurray. Now all I have to do is put some philosophical insights in my paper and hopefully, though I highly doubt it, it comes out somewhat substantial. Yes, hope. Hope! There is always hope!
In other news.
MANILA: President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of the Philippines has pardoned former president Joseph Estrada, who was convicted last month of corruption charges, her spokesman said on Thursday.WHAT THE FUCK???
here.
But I calm myself. I don't want to even get started anymore. It seems useless to rant and rave about the political system. I'd rather act.
Hindi ko maiwasang itanong sa hangin: nasaan ang hustisya? Ano pa ang silbi ng Edsa Dos?

1.What do you think of ligaw?
- I think it's over valued. I don't agree with 'I must win her heart' thingamajigjig. It's more important for me to get to know a person and not try to impress her [or him] in the process. Wait. I think I don't know what ligaw is in the first place. Isn't ligaw making pasikat giving the woman [or man] flowers and chocolates to make her [or him] kilig? I'm like yaknow so conyo.
2.Do you believe that friends can be lovers, but past lovers can never be friends?
- It depends on the people involved sooo.. No, I don't think I believe in that.
3.Do you believe that you can learn to love someone kahit hindi mo talaga sya mahal?
- Kung hindi mo talaga mahal, why would you even try to learn to love him/her? Hindi mo na nga talaga mahal eh. Definite na? What a weird question.
4.Who is your ideal partner?
- Brandon Boyd oh god he's so hot and he seems so sensitive and romantic ahhhhhh ♥♥♥. I wish.
5. Have you met your soulmate?
- I'd like to think so ;)
6.Is it true na ang love nawawala o nababawasan lang?
- Huh? What? What are you trying to say? Fragment consider revising. But I say false.
7.Have you really let go of someone?
- Whoever can do that is a hollow block. I am a hollow block.
8.Are you always serious when it comes to relationships?
- No, of course not but I do want all kinds of relationships I have to last long like pansit yay for friendlies!:)
9.Which one do you prefer, friendship or relationship?
- Friendship.
10.Why?
- Well, I think friendship runs deeper than any relationship with a lover.
11.Have you fallen inlove with your bestfriend?
- Yes *now hides behind a coconut tree*
12.Have you fallen in love with someone you regret on loving?
- No.
13.If yes, why do you regret?
- Blah.
14.Are you in a serious/fling relationship right now or just single?
- I think so haha.
15.Are you a player?
- No.
16.Are you serious with your relationship?
- Yes:)
17.Are you a martyr?
- No.
18.Do you believe in marriage first before living in or vice-versa?
- The influence of America slowly consumes me. I believe in marriage first, but living in before getting married is now also acceptable to me [just as long as you do get married after like a week haha]. But personally, I'd like to get married first :)
19.Why?
- So you can get committed formally under the law of God whut!:D I don't know, I don't completely understand the concept of marriage. Tradition just got the better of me.
20.Are you going to say 'yes' or a 'no,no,no' sa live in?
- Nonono.
21.Do you look ahead to your future or do you look behind to your past?
- Look ahead.
22.Why do you think most relationships dont last?
- People jump into relationships too fast.
23.Do you really think love can conquer all?
- Now isn't that a lovely thought?
24.Do you want to love again?
- I am lovin' baby.
25.Are you falling in love with someone right now?
- Everyday. Cheeeesy:p

If you had the chance to be whatever you wanted, what would you want to be when you grow up? If you don't think about the money you will earn, the time you will spend in school, the future. What is it that you dream to be? It's such a hard question! Well, at least for me because I don't think I have one. Shoot.

BANANAS ROCKS.
Don't you agree?
I realized yesterday that I love bananas. You see, there were so many kinds of bananas back in Bicol [or in the Philippines, in fact]. My favorite ones were the longish bananas that were orangey inside and the short plump ones that was whiteish inside. Yummy. I used to feed Fernando Jose and Rosalinda, my birds, with the short plump bananas. I used to neglect bananas before. We had so much of them at home that some of them just sit on a bowl and slowly rot. Now, omegad, I think I would kill to eat sweet and
soft bananas. I think I would really kill for some saba [the kind of banana that you put in nilaga or you make sweetened banana and make saba con yelo or you can just fry it. It's not that sweet but is really good oh my goshness].
I miss bananas!
I want variety! There's only ONE kind of banana here. I don't know if there really is JUST ONE kind of banana here but I haven't met any other kind of banana except for Mr Plantain. I don't like Mr Plantain at all. He is hard. I need to use knife and fork just to eat him! What kind of banana is that.
Believe me, I really would kill for a good banana.

I'm such a monkey.

10:30:00 PM

A few days ago my father told me that he watched this really good film called
A Little Princess. He has forgotten that he bought me a tape of the movie when I was a kid. And I'm watching it now. I've been anticipating the movie since Sunday whoopee! I have forgotten how much I loved this movie. And apparently I still love it now yay :) My cousins and I used to imitate the scenes. I used to make a circle in our bedroom floor, just like Sarah did, to make me feel safe whenever my mother would scold me.
I have completely forgotten how I once wanted to be just like Sarah. She was infectiously kind-hearted and good. Ohmy. It reminds me so much of my forgotten childhood: the magic, the stories, the fairy tales, the imagination and the make-believe. Wonderful, wonderful. I hope I never get tired of fairy tales.
And the movie still gives me the same warm cozy feeling. I still feel like crying at the same scenes [plus a good two or three more scenes added heehee]. I love it i love it i love it.
I can watch this film over and over. It's timeless. It's wonderful. Everyone should watch it! And everyone should make their kids watch it so they can make their kids watch it and their kids' kids watch it and.. Yeah.

I think I'm lucky that I'm not an adult yet. I think I'm lucky that I can sometimes be irresponsible and not call out on work and forget about meetings and still not get fired. I think I'm still privileged enough to
sometimes be lazy until I am age 21. I must enjoy the remaining 3 years of my life. 3 years to go oh my then I shall be obliged to be not lazy. Aww shucks. I hope I can be that. Can you feel the pressure?

You know what. I still can't accept the 'fact' that people my age DO have sex. I can't believe it, really. I hear so many chismis about people I know who are doing it. Akala ko conservative pa rin ang mga Pinoy. O siguro marami na talagang wild kahit noon pa pero ngayon lang ako nagiging aware. Kakawindang, di ko keri!

I think I'm back to being nocturnal again hurray!
One of the reasons why I don't update as often as before izz that I don't have anything to say anymore. I find myself deleting a whole entry just before I hit publish. I suddenly realize it was just some worthless ramblings about school or work or the weather or whatever shit. Like this entry. It's a waste of time. All my entries are. They're all a waste of time. I don't have anything of substance to say.
Who cares. I wanna post. Nyenye nye nye nyeeeee.

It's so cold I am freezing I look like lumpia with all the keepmewarm clothes. My fingers are getting frozen because mypoor little fingers don't have any protection against the cold because I lost my mittens like those poor little kittens who lost their mittens.
I can't sleep! Feels like white witch snow queen from Narnia is beside me lying on my bed. BRRRR.
The heater is my best friend. My best friend is not doing its job as of the moment. It tells me that I must imagine the smiling sun and its wonderful warmth for now.

We moved houses, by the way. But still in Jersey City. I don't like this place. I can feel another move coming soon. I apologize for not being able to reply to everyone's emails and to everyone's texts!! I feel like I'm so disconnected with the world with all this moving and shit and all the "busy-ness" of me. Don't worry guys! I haven't found any new friends! Hahaha. I'm a loner like that and I love it. I'm not ready to move on. I love you guys so much huhuhu I still miss all of you every night now I'm crying huhuhuhuhuhu :( :( :( :( :( I'm really not ready to you know find American cram buddies food buddies gimik buddies anaks lesbolovers groupies friends of the same feather type of shit. I don't want to replace you guys eventhough I know I won't be replacing you but you know how the mind works!
I do have animal friends. Cat friends, I have a few. My sister has a cat named Linus and I adore him. He's my first cat friend. He's so BIG and FAT and malambing. He has feelings! We talk to him. I talk to him in Bicol hehehe I know he doesn't understand me. I keep on bugging him and he keeps on walking away but I follow him and he hides in his house. I also play with him with his favorite purple feathery toy that has a bell attached to it. He's adorable :) And he doesn't look at you with that scary Imma eat you look! [Trust me Cha you gonna like him!! :D] He's like a dog! He goes for walks hehe. I also have a ninjacat friend named Little Girl.
I have squirrel friends, too. I have 10!!! They're all fluffy and cute. It's fun to watch them chase each other and fight over nuts. They keep on digging on the ground I wonder what they are burying. Maybe nuts. They're going to hibernate soon. I'm going to miss them, too :(
Yes, apparently I have replaced all my people friends with animal friends. I haven't gone nuts. They're just all oh so cute like all of you ♥ :)

It has been already month since I started school and all I can say is.. school sucks forever wherever you may be. But here, it sucks because school is err how do I say this nicely.. School here is less challenging. Yabang haha. I'm not complaining, really. It just kinda sucks that some of my professors are not really knowledgeable of their subject matter. Like my Civilizations professor. She has a PhD and all those shiznits, but the depth of her discussions and her knowledge of the subject is so-so. I guess it's just unfair to her because I had Sir Tirol as teacher for History 18.2. Civ and History 18.2 are very much similar. It's just boring that my Civ now is inclined to talking about the Art of Renaissance, the writers and blah. The class suddenly transforms to a Literature class without anyone noticing it happen except for me. The professor asks us to read passages from the book [which by the way was WAYYYYY expensive $60!!!!! wtf!!!] for godsake. It sucks.
My Psychology professor, on the other hand, doesn't let us talk/speak at all. He just talks and talks and talks. It wouldn't be so bad if I actually understood what he was talking about. I do for a minute but then he suddenly wanders off to another topic without any warning and I get lost. He also has this tendency to talk about his 2 ex wives and his present wife. Oh also about his two kids. Which is very sweet of him aww but it's confusing when he just suddenly tells some story without even saying he's telling a story and it's not the lesson anymore. He has this talent of intertwining the topic and some silly story he wants to share. You just realize he's talking about his story or some pregnant woman in his firm when he inserts some dialog. What a weirdo. He also carries SO MANY stuff. He pulls his HUGE icebox-looking luggage everywhere he goes. He says he has to go to class 30mins early just to set up all his equipments. He has a laptop, a projector, speakers, DVD burner, cables, VHS player, ethernet wires my gosh! Kulang na lang TV eh! What would make his life easier is to get a lesson on how to operate the projector in the classroom and all those other gadgets. He doesn't really need to carry all those. Haha. But in fairness to him, he has the coolest syllabus, and he's the most open-minded. He's pretty cool for someone really confusing.
My Stat class is so remarkably easy I don't want to talk about it. If I got Leslie as my teacher [Hi Cla and Juju!] I know I would have suffered. But yay I got an easy teacher he wants us to love SPSS awww and not hate him hehe. I just had an exam in Stat last Tuesday. It was open notes [are you serious everyone said] and you would be given +5pts if you dressed up.
The only subject that I'm having cramtime moments is Literature and Film. The teacher is really good, though. He has lots of demands. A book and a movie alternating every week, 5 papers due every other week, 2 Term papers interconnecting a book and a film, a midterm exam and a final exam. It's the most challenging I have, if not the only hehe. I also found out accidentally that my teacher in this subject is the head of the English Department. No wonder he has lots of requirements. And has depth. He's like Ambassador Manalo hehe -- you love her and hate her at the same time. She's a bitch, he's a bitch >:)
So that's about it academically. Now on to work updates.
Last week, I had 2 jobs and have 2 pending jobs. My schedule was in chaos, I tell you. It was like everyday hell week so I had to quit on my really early morning day job [Dunkin Donuts]. I couldn't wake up early to get to work on time hehe what's new :) It was also really draining. By mid afternoon I was ready to hit the sack but I couldn't because I had classes. My other job, though, was boringly easy. I am a "Technical Aide" [don't ask me what that is I don't know] at my school's Counseling and Psychological Center aka Guidance center office chorva. According to the other staff, during October they don't really do anything except make flyers and print out letters. The only thing I have done there is sit, play solitaire and ferryhalim games, and make copies [or xerox] of the handouts they give out for 'screenings'. They pay me $7.50/hr just for doing that. Haha. Oh I also cleaned their computers. I scanned them and found a lot of virus and a lot of spywares yay. I also tried to download Chikka to their computer hehehehe but it didn't work :( But I successfully downloaded YM WOO!! :)
As for my 2 pending jobs.. Well, I don't remember mentioning it here but I submitted my resume a month ago to one of the banks near our house. Last week, they called me for an interview. I've forgotten about them already and I didn't even expect them to call me back because I didn't make a nice impression when I talked to the manager but they did so yay. The other day I went there for my first interview, and the Asst. Manager [she interviewed me] kind of liked me so she told me to come back today [10.04] for a second interview. I was excited about the job because it was in the corporate world, and not in the fast food industry anymore. Not to mention they paid $10/hr hehe. So I went today and had my second interview. I thought I was doing fine but when it was time to say goodbye, they didn't tell me anything. It was just a simple 'great, it was nice meeting you.' No 'we'll call you', no 'report tomorrow', no nothing.. I don't know yet. I'm not hoping for it anymore, though. But I do feel bad that I [think I] screwed up the interview :( That was my first interview ever and I screwed it up owmeyn.. My self-esteem is gone! Hehe. But if it's not meant for me, it's okay. They have this 2wk training thing I am required to go to if ever I am hired and it's going to conflict with my classes and work in school. The training's in NY from 9am-5pm Mondays to Fridays. Kaya bahala na muna, I know God has plans for me hehe..
For my other job, I will actually start training tomorrow. I tell myself that I'm just doing this so I could get discounts on perfume when I buy pasalubong hehehe but truth is, I was forced to take the job. Auntie pressure. I feel bad that until now I still can't say no. Anyway. I'm going to work in the mall, in a perfume store! Hahaha. It sounds funny and silly to me but what the heck. Perfumes don't go on sale, so I must take advantage mwahahhaa.
I can safely say that student life here is different from the Philippines. I haven't met anyone who doesn't go to work. Nobody's literally a full-time student like I was before when I was in the Philippines. Ironically, I think I felt more beat when I was a full-time student rather than being a working student. No wonder I feel like school here is easier. I got used to being stuffed with so much subject, so much information, so many deadlines at the same time as if it was the basis of my existence. They make it easier here to give consideration to those students who have to make a living. It's a whole new world. I can't say that the institutions here don't care about academics because I know they do [though the education here, they say, doesn't seem all that]. It just seems to me that they're more in touch with reality. The reality that there is life beyond schoolwork.
I don't know if this is positive, or negative.
It just feels different. I guess I'll leave it at that.
I still miss Ateneo♥ One big fight :)
